Our Mission

All Saints' Mission

Our mission is to:

enable, empower, encourage, engage.

Envisioning is describing what needs to be done now. What is the most important thing in life? Jesus said to Martha, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one." (Luke 10).

What do you need to pursue in life?

Our vision is to enable, empower, encourage and engage in what is that most important in life.

Enable: Enabling is all about creating capability and confidence. We value teaching and mutual support as ways of doing this, and giving opportunities to everyone to take part to enable us to fulfil the purpose that God intended us for.

Empowering: Encounter with the living God makes us energized, motivated, and committed. The Holy Spirit in us gives us a passion that is contagious. Prayer and worship are the main channels for this, so we place a high priority on them.

Encourage: At root we are simply a bunch of redeemed sinners on our way to heaven. We need each other to remind ourselves of this, to pick us up when we fail, and help us through the trials of life which build our character.

Engage: Engaging takes courage. But there is a world around us without direction, which the Bible describes as lost. We seek to show them the love of God by serving our community in practical and transforming ways.

This is reflected in our prayer for growth, which is below:

Our Prayer For Growth

God of Mission,
who alone brings growth to your Church,
send your Holy Spirit to give vision to our planning,
wisdom to our actions, and power to our witness.
Help our church to grow in numbers,
in spiritual commitment to you,
and in service to our local community,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

Our Mission

Worldwide Mission

As a church we are committed to the support of mission both in the UK and overseas both in terms of finance and prayer.  We set aside 10% of our total income to support them financially.

We support a number of agencies on a regular monthly basis and also emergency situations as they arise, tsunami and earthquake appeals.  In addition we make appeals for particular organisations throughout the year.

Speakers from the organisations occasionally come to share their experience with us to help us to get a flavour of what their life is like and what their needs are.  Newsletters that we receive from individuals that we support are shared with all the congregation to help us to be specific in our prayer.

Organisations We Support include:
